Dear Colleagues of BRICS,
It is an honor to me to address you on the event of the second BRICS International Competition Conference to be held in Sanya, Hainan, China on April 14, 2011.
The first conference held in Kazan, Russia was a success. The tightening of relations among BRICS countries competition authorities is crucial in an evolving economy atmosphere such as today’s.
And China is the most significant example of that in current days. For that reason, the choice of China do host this second conference is very welcomed. The expressive growth of Chinese economy and all the challenges that accompany it make the county the best place to discuss such matters among us.
The entering of South Africa to the now BRICS is also a fact to be celebrated as the “continent of the future” may bring to the discussions many new perspectives and experiences.
For all those reasons, this second conference is a great opportunity to all member countries.
Sincerely,
Fernando M. Furlan
Chairman
